Race Matters for Juvenile Justice’s 5th Biennial Conference is taking place on Monday, September 25, 2023, 8:00am to 5pm at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
An important part of moving toward race equity requires a commitment from many stakeholders, leaders, and decision-makers across systems and within community.
This year’s conference theme – “Cross-Systems Collaboration to Advance Racial Equity” aims to:
- Organize and build our alumni community to create the capacity for collective impact.
- Provide alumni an opportunity to connect and foster rapport across systems that strengthens social capital and encourages collective empowerment among participants.
- Recognize RMJJ partners that have institutionalized and modeled practice change within their systems or institutions.
- Provide practical next steps on our learning journey for “Cross-Systems Collaboration to Advance Racial Equity.”
RMJJ is focused and committed to leading this work that advances our mission and vision within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.
