As he approaches the end of a lengthy prison sentence, Oedipus is ready to taste his long-awaited freedom. But liberation comes at a price, and life on the outside proves its own kind of prison ruled by a cruel and violent fate. Based on Sophocles’ classic tale, Oedipus El Rey is an examination of modern institutions, social barriers and the power of storytelling for those bold enough to challenge the gods of our time. This final piece in Luiz Alfaro’s trilogy is “…an adaptation that feels both urgently relevant and timeless.”

CivicMen, is the second installment in our Stories of Impact documentary series. It is a powerful, character-driven film that explores what happens when men re-engage with their communities through presence, responsibility, and civic action.Set against the backdrop of real conversations and lived experiences, the film challenges the idea that disengagement is simply apathy. Instead, it uncovers a deeper story—one rooted in disconnection, identity, and the search for purpose. Through honest dialogue and reflective storytelling, CivicMen examines how civic trust is built, how leadership is developed, and how everyday men can play a meaningful role in shaping safer, stronger communities.
At its core, the film is an invitation—calling men back into civic life not as spectators, but as active participants in the well-being of the places they call home.
