West Side Charlotte’s Juneteenth Jubilee

Ever wonder what happened to the historic shotgun homes housed in Charlotte’s First Ward community for so long? Well, West Side Community Land Trust preserved them and reclaimed them as functional, affordable accessory tiny homes. We would love for you to get reacquainted with them, their history and their future during our West Side CLT Juneteenth Jubilee!

During this time we will:

• Host shotgun house tours
• Enjoy cultural, Juneteenth culinary delights
• Engage in live drumming and a drum circle
• Participate in an afro-futurism exhibit highlighting the past, present, and future of black housing and black life- curated by Marcus Kiser, After Glo, and local culture bearer Adrian Sundiata of Hue Co.
