Civic Men: A Film by Sean Eldridge – World Premiere @ Independent Picture House
May 23 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
CivicMen, is the second installment in our Stories of Impact documentary series. It is a powerful, character-driven film that explores what happens when men re-engage with their communities through presence, responsibility, and civic action.

Set against the backdrop of real conversations and lived experiences, the film challenges the idea that disengagement is simply apathy. Instead, it uncovers a deeper story—one rooted in disconnection, identity, and the search for purpose. Through honest dialogue and reflective storytelling, CivicMen examines how civic trust is built, how leadership is developed, and how everyday men can play a meaningful role in shaping safer, stronger communities.

At its core, the film is an invitation—calling men back into civic life not as spectators, but as active participants in the well-being of the places they call home.

Camp Ignite educates and inspires high school girls to follow their dreams by introducing them to a future of limitless opportunities. The curriculum provides a safe, dynamic, and interactive environment to introduce campers to the fundamentals of firefighting and ignites courage, confidence, and character. Campers train alongside female firefighters as we break down barriers and stereotypes in a male-dominated career.

Camp Ignite is FREE, eliminating any financial obstacles to participate, and that’s why we are asking for your support. Operating these camps takes a significant investment from our department. Contributions of any amount are welcomed and sincerely appreciated.

Sovereignty by Mary Kathryn Nagle @ Three Bone Theatre
Aug 14 – Aug 30 all-day

In present-day Oklahoma, a young Cherokee lawyer defends the inherent jurisdiction of the Cherokee Nation in the U.S. Supreme Court. In doing so, she must wrestle with the actions of her ancestors. Alternating between the 1830s and present-day America, this epic story examines the fateful treaty that divided the Cherokee Nation’s lands and the painful repercussions descendants still live with today. Sovereignty deftly weaves this complicated political history with personal identity and truth-bearing.
